My work focuses on feeling as opposed to meaning, as contemporary art is not the easiest
place to find emotion, historically bound as it is by criticality. I try to have as much emotional
autobiographical feeling in my work as I can put into it, without it being explicitly about me in
any way. I am currently very interested in ‘High-school Dream’ Aesthetics, particularly of America
in the 90’s. The glorification of youth, teen spirit & angst seem like very natural ways to explore
human relationships and obsession.
